Refers to the major subject
matter, those that are great today, started small, never started big but they
grew big. Growing big is godly but remaining small is a big time curse which
will be evidenced to indigenes and non indigenes.
Below are a few lists of factors
that have tied many people to status quo thinking it is solely the demon from
their father, mother and in-law house.
Laziness: Every lazy individual has a must to attend institute
which is the “Institute of Ants” so as to run a session to learn from it. There
is something worst than be casted with a spell which is laziness. It is so
disdain to see lots of people with this poverty inclined spirit called
laziness.
The bandits that come up with
this mundane spirit of laziness are never welcoming to the body, soul and
spirit. This is one of the reasons why many people cannot become an
Entrepreneur because many cannot function without supervision. I once worked
with a boss who will never come into the office until 3pm at noon on a daily
basis when the active portion of the day is almost over. He is used to been at
home all through the day assumedly doing what is profitable but never seen.
I read about Dr. Mike Adenuga of
Globacom that his residence is always besides his office which gives him the
opportunity to get to his office by 9-10am latest and work late at night. Here
we come to see the likes of young youths of today who are fond of gallivanting
around in the dead of the night in club, lounges and will get home early hours
of the day to have their rest.
Commit $1bn conglomerate business
into the hands of a lazy fellow, he is committed to bring it to status quo if
not to make it experience retrogression. It is so evidenced amongst some men of
God today who assume ministry is just bread and butter; Pastor Albert Aina said
being a FULL time minister doesn’t make you a FOOL time minister.
No Mentor: You cannot enjoy the leverage of a mentor if you don’t
have one. The place of a mentor in business, life, ministry and profession
cannot be undermined.
Mentors are leverage to as many
that can take advantage of them. You need to engage a mentor in life so as to
maximize them so that you’ll not fall where they fell, become a victim of
situations they were.
Presence of Curse: Curse causeth not without reason. God’s curse
upon a man and his business will never make it thrive in life. Many
Entrepreneurs, business owners are good at inviting God’s curse upon them as
you will see many not tithing their business income, they fail to give good
offering, and they fail to give back to their community.
Man’s curse upon a business and
cooperation can be potent to put a business and cooperation to a halt. Many
business owners are very much dubious in their dealings which will only attract
curse when their partner or customers know about it. Don’t be an attractor of
curse upon your head and business. Curse can cut short the progress of your
business and company.
No Passion: No matter how lucrative the business looks like from
afar, never venture into an adventure that you lack passion for. Passion is the
fuel that drives you on. This is a passion of my life, to write, publish to
bless people’s lives within and across the borders. I have been awake since
3:30am and still working till 6:20am and yet to resign for the night work until
power goes off.
It’s my passion; it fuels me
though it is yet to rake the million dollars but I can stay awake all through
the night to ensure I receive from the Lord to bless he lives of people. This
is one of the reasons why I am always unstoppable and always moving at all
times.
No passion, no progress, low
passion, low progress, more passion, more progress. Your progress will be
undeniable; hence, your passion isn’t extinguished.
Not Maximizing Talent: Many people are yet to realize that they
need to unleash their talents to ensure that what they are involved in does not
experience stagnation. Talent is not for fun, it is to be maximized so as to
outsmart your competitors or ascertain significant progress in your business,
career and ministry.
Lack of Skills: The world is populated to an extent that you should
know that there are many individuals in an industry that only skills can spell
an individual amongst the crowd.
It wasn’t only David that knew
how to play guitar and harp in his days but amidst others, he plays skillfully
and that was what brought him a referencing in the palace.
If you want to be in the aura of
a movement and you don’t want to be a victim of stagnancy, then, you need to
get skills in whatever you are doing.
Skills sell you faster in the
labour market. People still look for skillful people amidst every other
pre-requisite.
Not Risk Taker: Life is all about risk was what I was taught in my
Insurance class in 2002 as a fresher in Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo by my
amiable Insurance Lecturer. The more the risk you can take the better but there
are calculated risks.
The ten stages of wining
N10million on the hot seat of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire is so exciting that
when you get to some stages and you are no longer certain of your answers, you
will be faced with what they call risk.
Every risk taker is reality
beneficiaries. You cannot benefit from the risk you are not willing to take.
For you to move forward in whatsoever you do, you must be willing to take risk,
more risk and most especially calculated risk.
Never stay at your comfort zone
is what I tell people, as a matter of fact, your comfort zone is your greatest
enemy. If we stay here we die, if we move we die, so why don’t we decide to
move and die than to stay here and die was the conclusion of the two lepers
whose footsteps became like that of a might host which displaced the Syrians
from their camp settlement.” Life is only meant for the risk takers”.
No Connection: Connection is one of the souls of business; no one
can do it in isolation. Learn to be connected. Many people make friends but a
few people stay connected. There is someone that when you are connected with
him or her will launch your business or company to the next level of life.
You need to ensure your business
is solving a problem to an extent that people NEED you and not just WANT you.
It is good when you are NEEDED and not WANTED. Connecting with people can
costly but rewarding than its cost. Stay connected at all times because you
will need connection boss.
No Vision: Vision is to know where you are going. Hence you don’t
have a clue of where you are going is as good as you going back to where you
started from. One of the Yoruba adages says “if you don’t know where you are
going, you should know where you are coming from”.
You will be comfortable with
where you are now if you don’t know where you are going. If you know where you
are going and realize where you are now, you will know your distance to where
you are and will inform you as regards your current state.
Anywhere can be a place for
someone with no vision; anywhere cannot be a place for someone with vision.
Tobiah & Sanballat: I had taken my time to teach on the
Ministry of Sanballat and Tobiah for one month in our church last two years and
it was awesome to realize their ministry. Everyone has his own
Sanballat&Tobiah who might be known or unknown to you as a person.
They will never work against you
starting something worthy but are waiting ahead to ensure that pause your
progress in life. You need to identify your Sanballat and Tobiah so as for you
to be able to deal with them in Nehemiah’s way.
