February 23, 2017: WHAT YOU GO AFTER DETERMINES WHAT COMES AFTER YOU (Part 1)

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever, amen. 

It is a good confession to make on a daily basis, it is a good confession that shouldn’t be far away from your mouth as you move into a new month, it is a good confession that you should be known with as you embrace a new year but it has a solely condition which is in the 1^st verse of the 23^rd chapter of the popular book of Psalms. The simple but necessary condition is for the Lord to be your Shepherd. 

Hence the Lord is your Shepherd; you are far from evil because the Shepherd is always at the front of the sheep to ensure he attacks wolves and wolves in disguise. He approaches them with fierceness that cannot be quantified. Invariably, you are meant to be behind the Shepherd for sure safety that cannot be found elsewhere and this is the reason behind this teaching. 

What you follow will always determine what comes after you. The person you follow; determines who comes after you. Seeth any man that follow after the good Shepherd, he will eventually have goodness and mercy as his companion to follow him all the days of his life. 

The hidden problem of many people running up and down today is not because God hates them but because they run after what they shouldn’t run after, so, what is coming after them isn’t palatable to them. 

If you are tired of what is coming after you, then, change what you are going after and you will see how what is coming after you will change. What do you expect to follow someone going after a masquerade in the market? What do you expect to follow someone going after a councilor of a ward? What do you expect to follow someone that is following the President of a nation? What do you expect of someone following the security personnel of a residence? What do you expect from someone following the owner of the residence? What comes after you is a product of who you are going after. 

I came across God’s word that says nothing can be done against the truth than to work for the truth. Truth is ageless, truth is timeless says the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Worldwide. Below are the truths you need to embrace no matter how acceptable or unacceptable they are, read through the following that you must follow after acidiously: 

God: An adage in Yoruba says “The river that forgets its source will run dry”. It is the fact about life. No river shuns her source and will be able to exist for too long any longer. I have seen a lot of professional today who started well but today they are grounded to the well level. 

The number one person you must go after acidiously is GOD. There is no replacement in the listing of who/what to go after. It is expedient the church and leaders should let people know that God isn’t a figure head, HIS works are visible in all over the world. Men should learn how to go back to their Creator sincerely and not with an instable mindset. 

Apostle Paul said I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.  He didn’t say through my mentor that strengthens me, he didn’t say through my wealthy parents who financed me, he didn’t say through my spouse that supported me, he didn’t say through my sugar daddy/mummy that helped me out. It is of a truth that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. 

Going after God shouldn’t be a thing of the ages past, as a matter of fact only wise people go after God. Your gold will turn to naught without going after God with a panting heart.
