OPPORTUNIST CLASSIFICATIONS
I wouldn’t want us to take more time on this sub topic personality
which is the Opportunist because in a nutshell, Opportunist is someone who has
opportunity at his beckoning and relates with it at his instinct directs.
For a firm, ministry and business to breakthrough in life, it will
require its relationship with the people in it on how they relate with
opportunity because everything about life is opportunity and how it is been
handled. It will deliver maximum result if it is been handled properly and will
deliver little or no result if it is been mishandled.
In the sub topic above is, I have been able to show how opportunity has
aided all ministries, firm and business to thrive in their industry. Therefore,
a company will not thrive if he doesn’t have on board staffs that know how to
deal with opportunity from a right perspective.
Opportunity Identifiers: This set of people are the people I call
Opportunity seers, though they are among the crowd but they have left the crowd
to leverage on looking to seeing.
It will have taken the seers to know that inside the irritating
defecates of a bee lies the celebrated honey. It will take an opportunity
identifier to know that inside this ground lies the oil that Nigerians are
killing themselves for. It will take and Identifier to lay hold on power of
charcoal from a timber.
To every identifier, they never struggle to own the major, they want to
sit with the trash and extract the treasure out of the trash that everyone is
ready to discard without a heart of guilt. It also affects even to human
factor, it requires an identifier to be able to extract the best out of a man
who is called THE USELESS because in every so called useless man lies the
escape route to men.
I heard of the story of how a company (Nadina) in Nigeria made about a
decade or more ago, it was just the help of God that made him identify it
through a customer. This company were saved by their store room because they
had a waste paper which was written off and declared to be discarded in their
store room until when someone came around and saw the discarded paper in their
store room to let them know that this is the paper that everyone is dying
outside to get because it was not available as at then anywhere, this was how
this young man sold it off in bit at very high price because of the high demand
on it.
In every nonsense is a sense that needs to be leveraged upon to vomit
an unending wealth, in every commonsense is an uncommon sense that someone
needs to catapult him to the next level of life, in everything that is useless
is something that can be USED lies, in everything that is rubbished lies a RUB
that some people needs to get warm, in every Palm Kernel lies palmnut and other
valuables that the world will be dying for.
Opportunity Ignorers: Men that are in haste or who conclude just
suddenly are the Chairman of this group of companies. There are people who
ignore opportunities and they are always at the struggling state in business,
ministry and life.
I was once worked with an irrational boss who will never think twice
whenever he sees a proposal submitted on his table, he trashes it immediately
not even taking a bit of his time to see the dual benefit in the proposal
because he sees everybody as an extractor. This set of people are opportunity
ignorer who will have passed by opportunity before they realize.
Take your time to read, study and make an enquiries on an little piece
of information so that you can leverage on it, else, you will be accepted into
the club of those who ignore opportunities. Opportunity Ignorers are people who
will never celebrate new ideas, new innovations, information, handbills,
banners, and proposal with a few information. The stone which the builders
rejected has become the chief cornerstone which is simply the clear picture of
an Opportunity Ignorers.
Opportunity Grabbers: Most times, Opportunities Identifiers fall into
this group. Hence, you can see from afar, then, you are likely to grab it from
afar except if such people fall in the category of the busybodies.
The young clerk who bought the coca formula in a kettle saw what the
frustrated young man who came to sell it at a then fortune to him while this
young man got it and grabbed it which took him from being clerk to what he
eventually became in life and the product still striving.
Many have forgotten that the bush of today will become the converged
city tomorrow, they have forgotten that the converged city of today was once a
forsaken forest yesterday, yet till date, I still see some individuals who will
never put in their money into such landed property but will go and keep dying
for a plot of land which is been sold for N300million per plot in some serene
area what you have invested in with to become an ESTATE OWNER who sell not only
landed properties but building properties to people at an affordable and will
turn fortune that your generations will not recover from.
I have written and spoken about this many times in summits where I go
to speak that there is no industry that have not produced multi millionaire or
billionaire all because a few of them saw the opportunity ahead and grabbed it
with all passion that cannot be quantified.
Opportunity Maximizers/Igniters:
They not only identify opportunities rather they move ahead to ensure they
maximize or ignite the opportunity that they have identified, grabbed which the
world is awaiting.
Don’t sit on top of opportunities, ignite them to bless humanity no
matter how little it might be in your sight. It will go along way in the memory
of people and in history.
Opportunity Borrowers/Franchise: Yes, it is permitted. If you are not
available to opportunities, you can borrow opportunities so that you can also
amass wealth for your generation.
I have termed this opportunity franchise. Franchise is permitted, you
are leveraging the opportunity some people have kicked off which is profiting
to the eyes, ears and mind. Don’t sit idle, you can ask for franchise and start
replicating what you see that is yielding for others.
