Day 21 of 31 on Boosting Your End Of The Year Sales - COMMISSION PAYMNENT



 In one of my article for this month, as one of the 31 ways of boosting your end of the year sales, I wrote on Harvest Time is Time To Work Harder. Harvest time is a season when your strength alone cannot cover the result except when there is a negative result. It is a season when the single seed you sown has multiplied into hundreds and thousands, which connote that, it is not the you who sow that will harvest; you will need the help of some individuals. 

This is what prompted this idea, it is a month when your harvest is much, and you need more hands to be available to make sure your harvest is not spoilt. During a time like this, you might possibly need ad-hoc staff in the area of publicizing, marketing and distribution, you and your existing staff might not be able to cover your target, you need to hire these people but it should be on a “commission basis”, where it is necessary. 

Many companies consciously engage in this during this period, so that they can cover more and multiply their sales record. Engaging an ad-hoc staff on a salary payment will be equivalent to waste, it should be on work schedule for payment, it should be on agreed terms of number of quantity sold, it should be on percentage payment. 

Define Terms and Conditions For Commission Payment



To avoid unnecessary strives amongst you and you ad-hoc staff and for you to get the maximum benefit from them so that you will not become Father Christmas, the underlisted, should be followed strictly, if possible stated and signed. 

1.       Time Of Resumption: Please, ensure you ratify the hour of resumption with this individual of group of people that you will hire at a time like this, so that you work won’t be frustrated. 

2.       Area To Cover: Specified area of covering should be defined so that your efforts won’t become fruitless. Give them specify area to cover for your products to attract the needed attention. 

3.       Target (People, Sales, and Quantity): Give them a daily, weekly and monthly target as regards the awareness, marketing, distribution, sales of your product. Meeting their target is a pre-requisite for that specified period of payment. 

4.       Closure Time: there should be closure time, if there is a resumption, so as to reconcile the intended hour of productivity for you end of the year sales to be boosted. Resumption and closure time might not be rigid but the reconciled total hour of productivity must be consented on, which will spell out both times for them. 

5.       Appearance Assessment: The product to be marketed and sold should determine appearance; their appearance shouldn’t be negotiable, if you want to convince you target market. Therefore, appearance assessment is required to be stated to these ad-hoc staffs. 

6.       Responsibilities: Clearly state the responsibilities and duties of the ad-hoc staff for a significant result on the sales of your business at the end of the year. Itemize them on a plain sheet and to be distributed evenly, to avoid scarcity of information. 

7.       Default Penalty: You are in a season when money shouldn’t be spent as defined; you cannot afford to pay for the service not rendered to you satisfactorily. Communicate the penalty attached to the default of any agreed terms listed and not listed.

Importance Of Commission Payment



1.       Better Productivity: There is need for commission payment, so that the productivity of your company at this end of the year will jerk back to life and gain a new platform that it hasn’t experienced for years or months. 

2.       Extending The Scope Of Reach: Except the terms and conditions aren’t clearly spelt out and followed by, it is assured that the scope of the reach, the coverage of your business will extend than the usual

3.       More Staff, Better Image: Increase in the number of staff has a way of picture an enviable image of the business to the public. Hiring these ad-hoc staff isn’t just a flamboyant lifestyle after its reasons are been established. 

4.       Increases Expenses, Increases Profit: Hiring of ad-hoc staff will only increase the company’s expenses for the end of the year but will surely increase the profit abnormally than the earlier eleven months of the year.
